Clearly, the communication in this family is out of whack! This father's kids (now in their 20s) declined to attend his new wedding, which unfortunately was scheduled two months after the death of their mother. For clarification, invitations were sent before her death and they had been divorced for more than a decade.
The full thread, which was posted to Reddit's r/AmITheA**hole subreddit by u/AdSuch5527, explains their complicated family history, and while we certainly feel empathy for the kids, we are ultimately on the side of the father here. He clearly wanted his kids to be there and was able to understand why they didn't feel ready. That being said, they had no right to assume their dad would then postpone his wedding; if they thought he should do that, they should have addressed it explicitly. Otherwise, he deserves happiness too!
